Membership at ISA Aachen e.V.

The Iranian Students Association Aachen (ISA) welcomes everyone interested in cultural, academic, and social engagement.
ISA offers three types of membership, each with its own conditions, responsibilities, and benefits.

Regular Member

What is it?
 For students or graduates of Aachen-based universities who would like to stay connected with ISA and join our events.

 Who can apply?
 Anyone currently enrolled in or graduated from one of the following universities:

  • RWTH Aachen
  • FH Aachen
  • Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln (Aachen branch)

Katholische Hochschule Nordrhein-Westfalen (Aachen branch)
 Also, members must agree to the ISA Statute.

Responsibilities:
 There are no obligations. It’s a passive membership for staying connected.

 Benefits:

    • Voting rights in selecting board members
    • Discounts or special access to ISA events

Associate Member

What is it?
For individuals not studying or graduated from Aachen universities, but who want to support ISA and be part of the Iranian community in Aachen

Conditions:

  • Must agree to ISA’s Statute
  • Applications may be declined only if the person is a member of or linked to a group whose goals are against German law or ISA’s values
  • Responsibilities:
     None

Benefits:

  • Discounts or special access to ISA’s cultural and social events

    • Voting rights in selecting board members
    • Discounts or special access to ISA events

Active Member

 What is it?
Active members are the main drivers of ISA’s work. They plan and organize events, lead working groups, and help shape the association’s direction

Who can become active?

  • Must already be a Regular or Associate member
  • Can join up to two ISA working groups
  • No selection process – just apply directly to ISA
  • Must agree to ISA’s Statute

Responsibilities:

  • Take part in ISA projects during a given period
  • Attend at least one of every three consecutive working group meetings

Benefits:

  • Voting rights on major decisions (e.g., changing the Statute)
  • Eligible for leadership roles within ISA’s structure
  • Free or discounted participation in ISA events
  • Receive an official volunteer certificate, useful for your CV or job applications
