Active members of ISA Aachen have the right to vote in decisions of the association on events, changes to the statutes, etc. In addition, they can receive a certificate of active participation in the voluntary activities of the ISA Association and present this as proof of voluntary work for the application for scholarships, job applications, etc. They also receive free or discounted access to training workshops and discounts on tickets for special events such as the Yalda night celebration or discount on some service providers such as the printing shop Copy 2000.

There are 3 different types of membership at ISA Aachen.

Ordinary membership

Any registered student in RWTH Aachen University, FH Aachen University of Applied Sciences, Cologne University of Music and Dance (Dept. Aachen) or Catholic University of Applied Sciences of North Rhine-Westphalia (Aachen Department) and any academic staff member working in the German part of the German part of the Aachen city region can be admitted as a ordinary member. The admission as a full member is made by the board of association after prior written application. It requires the approval of the general meeting.

The general meeting takes place twice a year. The time and place of the next meeting will be announced in the ISA Aachen Facebook group.

Extraordinary membership

Any registered student in RWTH Aachen University, FH Aachen University of Applied Sciences, Cologne University of Music and Dance (Dept. Aachen) or Catholic University of North Rhine-Westphalia (Department Aachen) or academic staff member may be admitted as an extraordinary member. The admission is made by the board of association after written application and by a notice of agreement with the statutes of the association. It does not require the approval of the general meeting.

Honorary membership

The admission as a honorary member is made by the board of association after prior written application. It requires the approval of the general meeting. The general meeting takes place twice a year. The time and place of the next meeting will be announced in the ISA Aachen Facebook group.
